How To Submit Stories and Images for publishing.
Photos & Art
For all photos the preferred Electronic File Formats accepted is high quality JPEG.
All photos submitted with stories should be easily identifiable. Please ensure your photos are named or numbered.
Preferred resolution is 300ppi for print publishing requirements. However copies of digital camera original photographs ( JPEG format ) may be submitted unaltered and burned onto a CD or DVD, or stored on a Flash Drive. Please advise if you want to have the Flash Drive returned.
The disc/s should be mailed to The Editor, ModelArt Australia, PO Box 4045, Ringwood, Victoria 3134, Australia.
It may also be possible to send photos via email, but they must remain original size and be unaltered. In that case they may be too large in file size to send over the Internet?
If you are submitting photo prints or original art work please advise if you want them returned.
Please do not submit photos that are blurred or out-of-focus, too dark (not enough light) or too light (washed out), as these are useless for publication purposes. Make sure the subject fills the image area and has a clean background. A white sheet or cardboard makes an excellent background for model photography.
If you wish to submit a story for inclusion in a future ModelArt Australia magazine, it must be submitted in electronic format. A Microsoft Word document is the preferred file format, as this will allow editing to be accessible. You may also submit a PDF file of the story. The document should be burned onto a CD or DVD, or stored on a Flash drive. Please advise if you want to have the Flash drive returned. You may also email stories to The Editor ModelArt Australia.
Stories should be kept to about 1,000 words on average, but longer and shorter stories are acceptable.
When you submit a story for publication you acknowledge that it may be sub-edited to meet ModelArt Australia magazine's publications standards.
The author/creator of the story retains the intellectual copyright. You only give ModelArt Australia the right to use your story for one issue. ModelArt Australia magazine will only publish your story on the basis that you are the true copyright holder. When submitting your finished story, it should end with a statement that you own the copyrights to it. Your full name and the date should appear in the statement.
If your story is accompanied with photos please place reference information to the photos in your story, so we can identify them more easily.
Please email the Editor for more information, or if you need assistance with tips to write up a story.
Where possible each contributor of a published story will receive a complimentary copy of ModelArt Australia. This will be the issue that contains the contributor's story.
